Venue & Meeting Format

If you have transport difficulties getting to a meeting, then we may be able to help.
We meet at 7:15 pm till 9:00 pm on the last Wednesday of the month (subject to venue availability).
The usual format for our meetings is that we take tea/coffee on arrival, have a chat with fellow members and then just before 8:00 pm we assemble for announcements and for a talk by a guest speaker with a short time for questions.
Topics for the meeting alternate between medical and non-medical subjects. The medical topics are discussed at a level suitable for everyone to learn more about heart conditions and their treatment. We sometimes have talks on related health conditions too.
Prior to the close of the meeting, there is a raffle draw and the prizes are donated by members in order to help boost the Group’s available funds.

Unfortunately, sometimes a booked speaker is unable to attend at short notice and the Group attempts to provide a suitable alternative.
