The Group runs an extensive library of books, videos and heart publications. These cover Heart Conditions, Heart Health Education, Treatments, Medication, Exercising, Diets, Healthy Eating, Cook Books , Relieving Stress & Tension, Lifestyle, Country Walks.
The videos cover such topics as Understanding Heart Disease, Angina, Recovering From A Heart Attack, A Guide For Patients Having A Cardiac Catheter Procedure.
It is free to members.
At monthly meetings, members select the books and videos that they want to borrow, sign them out, and then they can borrow them for a reasonable period.
The British Heart Foundation produces a very useful series of booklets about the various aspects of heart and arterial disorders and their treatment and these are available to keep, free of charge.
Other organisations also produce free publications from time time, and these are also available from the library at our monthly meetings.
Occasionally, food manufacturers introduce new low fat and heart friendly products. We sometimes get "money off" coupons for our members to try them out. Books
